Christmas Meal
The Walking Group donned their Christmas jumper and left their muddy boots at home for their festive get together at the Wheatsheaf Pub in Raby Mere. The gang got into holiday spirt and enjoyed a great meal and good company. Many thanks go to Margaret for not only organising and planning the walks each month but also arranging such a splendid meal.
Autumn Walk
Once again, the weather was fantastic for the Walking Group. Starting in Caldy the girls rambled through to Thustaston, past Church Farm to the Dungeons and along the Wirral Way. Of course a welcome coffee stop was enjoyed by all to help reenergise for the last stroll home.
The Walking Group enjoyed the beautiful autumnal weather and countryside on their October walk. The 5.5 miles route took them through Brimstage and Thornton Hough, with a coffee stop at the Red Fox.
Thinking Green
The Walking Group were fortunate once again to have great weather for their monthly stroll. Not only did they enjoy exercising, but they also did litter picking as part of environment awareness week. Well done girls!
Afternoon Tea
It was a warm, sunny afternoon for the Walking Groups’ Afternoon Tea gathering in aid of Wirral Hospice St John. The ladies were treated to some fantastic cakes and scones, as well as lots of tea! Many thanks go to Margaret, who hosted the event, and to all the ladies who provided the refreshments.
