PRESIDENT - CAROLE HUGHES
VICE PRESIDENT - ALISON ADLARD
Our responsibilities are to lead the monthly members’ meetings; to set the agenda for, and chair the monthly committee meetings; to generally co-ordinate the affairs of our WI and to oversee the work of fellow officers, committee members and subcommittee leaders - in accordance with the WI Constitution and Rules and Charity Commission Laws. The role also involves encouraging good relations between Heswall Honeys WI and the local and wider community and representing our WI both within and beyond the organisation. Another key aspect is to foster the development of an ever-widening range of interests and activities to promote the active and growing participation of a diverse membership.
SECRETARY – JO ROBERTS
As Secretary I am responsible for recording minutes of Committee meetings and our AGM, dealing with correspondence from both Cheshire & National Federations and also from our members.
TREASURER - CAROL KIRKBRIDE
The Treasurer is appointed by the Committee, at the first meeting after the Annual Meeting, to look after the financial affairs of HHWI. As Treasurer I have responsibility for the proper and efficient handling of the Heswall Honeys' money and to advise on financial planning.
MEMBERSHIP, MCS REP and ONLINE DIARY COORDINATOR - MARGARET HUNTRISS
I maintain our membership register and respond to membership queries. I also co-ordinate the renewal of memberships at the beginning of the year and ensure the MCS is up to date. I am responsible for keeping our online diary up to date.
SPEAKER SECRETARY - JANE KIRKHAM
My role is to source speakers and arrange their attendance at members' monthly meetings and to ensure they are taken care of on the evening. I am also responsible for the printing of our annual programme of speakers.
HOSPITALITY COORDINATORS- JANE CHADWICK, JUDITH GENT AND MARY STODDARD
We organise and coordinate a rota for the team of volunteers who work behind the scenes at each meeting. They provide the wonderful selection of cakes, teas and coffee for members, guests and speakers, as well as catering for the Spring, Summer and Christmas Socials. We plan and purchase food for the various events.
TRIPS & ACTIVITIES - ALISON ADLARD AND ANN HIGGINSON
I organise a series of diverting and interesting activities, catering for the diverse range of interests of our members and try to have a variety of events to cater for all tastes and pockets. My role is to ensure that HHWI can fulfil the aims of the WI by taking part in a wide range of activities, discovering new interests and building new skills.
MEMBER WELFARE-MARY STODDARD
I send cards and flowers or visit members who may need our support.
EQUALITY, DIVERSITY and INCLUSION REP - JO ROBERTS
I am also responsible for ensuring Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within our group.
NORTH WIRRAL GROUP REP- JANE KIRKAM
I represent Heswall Honeys WI at the North Wirral WI Group meetings. We discuss issues relevant to the North Wirral Group, find out about activities each group has taken part in and hear about talks given by speakers.
WELCOME COORDINATOR, GROUP ENGAGEMENT and SUBGROUP COORDINATOR- BARBARA KAMEEN.
My role is to help set-up new activity groups, support existing groups and arrange meetings to assist the subgroup leaders. My other ‘hat’ is to welcome members and guests at our meetings and socials.
RAFFLE - JUDITH GENT
I am responsible for organising the monthly raffle, with support from one of our members, Kate King.
PUBLICITY LIASON - LIZ GRAYSON
My focus is to ensure that Heswall Honeys WI has a presence in both the local and wider community through publications such as CFWI Cheshire News.
RESOLUSIONS - SARAH QUAYLE
My role is to oversee the resolution procedure at HHWI to ensure our members have a clear understanding of the motions being proposed throughout the selection process.
