MAGGIE'S FUNDRAISING

A number of our members have held gatherings, large and small, all in aide of Maggie's, Wirral. We are very grateful to them all for giving their time and support to such a wonderful charity.

COOL HESWALL

The ‘Cool Heswall’ event was a triumph in displaying what the WI does best – hospitality and raising funds for charity! Coordinated and organised by Jo Roberts, a fantastic team of Heswall Honeys‘ volunteer helpers and bakers provided a wonderful array of cakes and lashings of teas and coffees for our local community – all in aid of ‘Maggie’s’. Well done ladies – you’re all stars!!

AN EDWARDIAN LADY TOUR OF CHESTER

Trips and Visits The Edwardian Lady Tour May 8th 2015 The combination of the M53 being closed and Chester races ensured getting to Chester in time was beset by problems. However, it was amazing that so many arrived very punctually and our guide Isabel was delighted to take us back to the Edwardian era when ladies were very much in the shadow of men. We discovered hidden parts of Chester as we were treated to yet another fascinating morning where we enjoyed Isabel’s skill in imparting knowledge in such an engaging manner.
